Seiya and Shun manage to recover and successfully defeat the invading Mariners. Meanwhile, Poseidon takes Saori to a location where she must sacrifice her life to offer humanity a chance of survival. He reveals that the underwater Sanctuary is supported by the Mammoth Pillars, which uphold the seven seas: the North Pacific, South Pacific, North Atlantic, South Atlantic, Indian, Arctic, and Antarctic Oceans. The Main Pillar, responsible for sustaining the entire ocean, is crucial—if it collapses, the underwater Sanctuary will cease to exist.
