As Seiya tumbles down a frozen cliff, Thor relentlessly attacks him. Just when hope seems lost, Shiryu arrives, having traveled from the Five Ancient Peaks of Lushan with crucial news from Roshi. The master explains that to remove the Nibelung Ring, they need the legendary sword Balmung. To obtain this sword, they must first gather the seven Odin Sapphires by defeating the seven God Warriors who guard them.
