Hilda is certain that Syd will win, and as Shun approaches the palace, Syd confronts him, recalling their previous clash. Seiya and Hyoga join the scene, but before Seiya can engage Syd again, Shun urges both of them to move ahead while he takes on the God Warrior alone, promising to join them soon. As Shun and the others rush past Syd, an enigmatic figure watches from a distance. Shun launches an attack with his Nebula Chain, but it proves ineffective against Syd's icy powers.
