Amakawa Haruto, a 20-year-old college student, tragically dies in a bus accident. As his life slips away, he laments never confessing his feelings to his childhood friend, Miharu, who vanished after their high school entrance ceremony. Meanwhile, in the rundown slums of the Kingdom of Beltrum, a boy named Rio stirs from a nightmare, groaning in despair. His sole purpose has been to seek vengeance against a particular man, but now he finds his mind flooded with vivid memories of another life—those of Amakawa Haruto, in a world he has never known.
