S1E7 Land of Promises

Title: Land of Promises Plot: Rio has departed from the village of the People of the Spirits, journeying towards his parents' homeland, Yaugumo. In search of information about them, he stumbles upon Yuba, the leader of a small village in the Karasuki Kingdom. When Rio mentions his parents' names, Yuba is taken aback, revealing a deep connection between them. Encouraged by Yuba, Rio decides to settle in the village, where he experiences a peaceful life with the locals, including his cousin Ruri and a girl named Sayo. As autumn arrives, news spreads that a tax examiner will soon assess their annual tribute. Tensions rise when Sayo’s older brother, Shin, gets into a brawl with men from a neighboring village.
