As Reynolds travels to Washington, D.C. to talk about updates in the Nevins case, Abbie takes charge in his absence. Jenny and Joe face unforeseen repercussions from their theft of the shard, putting not only the heroes' lives at risk but also threatening Abbie's professional future. At the same time, a new and more formidable evil begins to emerge, adding to the tension.
