The CNU steps in to defuse a tense hostage situation when a corporate leader seizes 16 individuals in the company’s boardroom. Meanwhile, a separate domestic incident prompts Matt and Emily to reconsider a choice they made during the initial standoff. This situation escalates when the wife of the domestic hostage-taker takes her mother-in-law captive, demanding her "lover," whom she claims to be having an affair with. Matt is tasked with managing one scene, while Emily, now off the negotiation team, tackles the other as they both strive to resolve the unfolding crises.
