S1E2 Children of the Comet

During a survey mission, the U.S.S. Enterprise comes across a comet on a collision course with a populated planet. In an effort to divert the comet, the crew discovers that an ancient alien artifact embedded in the comet's ice is hindering their attempts. As the away team works to unravel the mysteries of the relic, Captain Pike and Number One confront a faction of zealots determined to stop the U.S.S. Enterprise from intervening.
