The unsettling occurrences escalate as similar creatures begin to terrorize the Texas coastline. Laura grows increasingly distressed after losing her job, while Rich struggles to cope with his brother's death. His grief intensifies when he starts hearing his brother's voice near bodies of water. Meanwhile, Cirko and Lee uncover that the creatures have been burrowing beneath the ocean floor, potentially connecting their emergence to global warming. At the same time, Miles realizes that keeping Nimrod in the backyard is dangerous after a lightning strike occurs nearby.
