To rescue the citizens of Ladylake from a menacing hellion, Sorey claims the Sacred Blade of the Lady of the Lake, marking his new role as a Shepherd. After defeating the hellion, he faints but awakens later, adorned in the iconic Shepherd’s garb gifted by Alisha. As he strolls through the town, he notices the streets decorated with banners featuring the Shepherd’s emblem, realizing the hope the townspeople have in him. Soon, Sorey becomes the vessel of the Lady of the Lake, gaining the ability to sense Malevolence. This newfound power drives him to investigate its origin in the aqueduct.
