S3E3 Fathers of the Bride

Alex discovers through a wedding announcement in the newspaper that his daughter is tying the knot in New York, leaving him feeling hurt and excluded since he wasn’t invited. He calls his ex-wife, only to be informed by her secretary that the invitation was intentionally withheld. Undeterred, Alex crashes the reception with Elaine. Cathy, his daughter, is overjoyed to see him and questions why he didn’t reply to her invitation. Angered, Alex confronts his ex-wife, making a hurtful comment about her weight. Later, feeling remorseful, he seeks her out to apologize. As they reminisce, old feelings resurface, and just as they lean in for a kiss, Cathy finds them and expresses her happiness at their connection, encouraging them to hug. The evening ends on a positive note with everyone feeling reconciled.
