S3E5 Going Home

A detective seeks out Jim on behalf of his affluent father, who wants him to visit in Boston and has arranged plane tickets. Jim tells his friends about his estrangement from his family after abandoning Harvard in the '60s and changing his last name from Caldwell to Ignatowski. He decides to accept the invitation, taking Alex along, intrigued by Jim's background. At his father's lavish home, Jim’s eccentric behavior causes tension, leading to a heated argument during dinner. After Jim is asked to leave, Alex speaks privately with his father, revealing that he still sees Jim as his favorite, though he’s pained by Jim's choices. Jim eventually reassures his father that he's content and independent, and they share a heartfelt moment before he departs.
