S5E6 Crime and Punishment

Louie allows his assistant dispatcher, Jeff, to take the blame for the missing funds, which he himself is responsible for, promising to fix the situation. However, when Louie harshly scolds Jeff in front of the garage owner, it backfires—Jeff gets fired and arrested. Before Alex can expose him, Louie admits the truth to the owner, but the owner believes Louie is only trying to shield Jeff. Out of goodwill for Louie, the owner decides to drop the charges and reinstate Jeff, leaving Louie’s misdeeds unpunished despite his intentions.
