As the Cold War reaches its climax, the CIA finds itself in disarray after a crucial meeting with a valuable informant goes disastrously wrong. CIA officer Sandy Grimes launches an inquiry to uncover what went wrong, only to realize that this missing asset is merely a small part of a much larger issue. Unbeknownst to her, this marks the start of a protracted hunt for a mole within the agency, and the traitor is closer than she thinks—it's none other than her colleague, Aldrich Ames.
