When 47 refugees suddenly arrive on the shores of a quaint fishing village, Sheriff Jude Ellis joins forces with DHS agent Emma Ren to investigate their bizarre assertion that they are escaping a war occurring 180 years ahead. The situation intensifies as Jude discovers that one of the newcomers has extraordinary powers, posing a danger to the town and putting him on a direct path to confrontation. Meanwhile, as the other refugees begin to adapt to their new environment, Emma uncovers that one of them holds vital information that challenges her understanding of the present day.
