Will and his team rescue Dine, an elf, from the clutches of a hydra. Grateful, Dine reveals that her homeland, Lothdor, has been corrupted by the dragon's miasma, causing illness among its inhabitants. Moved by her plight, Will resolves to journey to Lothdor to help restore health to its people.
