The staff at The Daily News are reeling from the loss of a coworker, and Paddy quickly realizes she’s in over her head. With the help of charming journalist Terry, she zeroes in on her main suspect. However, lacking solid evidence, she resorts to planting incriminating proof and tips off the police. Just as she begins to doubt her choice and fears she’s targeted the wrong person, she turns to the one journalist she can trust—Dr. Pete, a once-renowned reporter now battling terminal cancer from years of heavy drinking. Unfortunately, her epiphany comes far too late.
