In the opening episode, Dave Bannister finds himself shot at a funeral, surrounded by 20 witnesses, yet astonishingly, no one heard a single shot, not even the District Attorney, who was also there. The second victim is a messenger from a Brokerage House, who is transporting $5000 in negotiable bonds. The Green Hornet and Kato leap into action in their iconic Black Beauty, determined to hunt down the mysterious assailant behind these crimes.
