Doug accidentally bumps into Kelly and Deacon's car, leading him and Carrie to propose covering the repair costs themselves to avoid involving insurance. However, when the Palmers present an estimate nearing twelve hundred dollars, they are shocked. What was meant to be a fun night out quickly devolves into a dispute between the two couples over each other's frugality. Meanwhile, Spence is left babysitting Kirby, but his "Spencinator" persona quickly fades to "Scaredinator" when Kirby discovers he has a peanut allergy.
