Episode Overview

Carrie's boss, Pruzan, is tackling his first major case as a partner, leaving Carrie swamped with work. Things take a turn when the case requires a delivery driver's testimony, and Pruzan insists Doug, an IPS driver, serve as the expert witness. While Doug is eager to collaborate with Carrie, she feels uneasy about the arrangement. When Doug arrives for trial preparations, Carrie panics at the thought of him embarrassing them both and tries to convince Deacon to step in instead, which hurts Doug's feelings. Despite her pleas, Pruzan remains firm on having Doug testify, but eventually agrees to help Carrie out. Meanwhile, Danny and Spence are embroiled in a rivalry over Holly, the dog walker. Their plan to win her over by spending the day with her backfires when she gives her number to the gas repairman who comes to fix their heater.
