Reluctantly, Doug approaches his father for help, but things take a turn when his dad questions why they don’t have that much saved up. When Doug confesses their lack of savings, his father insists on reviewing their finances to track their spending. This leads Doug to impose restrictions on Carrie’s shopping habits, which she does not take lightly.
