After Arthur easily defeats Doug in multiple rounds of ping-pong, Doug thinks he can prove himself against Carrie but ends up embarrassed by another loss. To salvage his pride, he enlists Arthur to help him train so he can finally triumph over his wife. Meanwhile, Spence feels insecure when his girlfriend, Denise, is promoted to waitress at the bowling alley, especially as he notices the flirty behavior she adopts to earn tips.
