Danny embarks on a determined mission to win back Spence’s former girlfriend, Denise, but things spiral out of control when he unexpectedly suffers from lockjaw. Meanwhile, the group finds themselves draining their cash advances from their credit cards, much to Carrie's frustration, as she discovers she can't purchase groceries due to Doug maxing out their card. On another front, Arthur takes over at the senior center's front desk and has a memorable exchange with the pudding vendor.
