A deranged scientist, Dr. Mendoza (John Hoyt), enlists the Monkees to help his creature (Richard Kiel) learn to play music. In a bizarre twist, he transfers their musical abilities to the monster. Now, the Monkees must devise a plan to reclaim their lost talent. Byron Foulger plays Groot, Dr. Mendoza's quirky assistant, adding to the chaos.
