Television producer Hubbell Bensen (Carl Ballantine) stumbles upon a recording of the Monkees and becomes eager to cast them for his upcoming series. In his haste, he organizes a series of auditions, completely oblivious to the fact that the Monkees themselves are making their own frantic attempts to secure an audition with him.
