Miss Piggy enlists Scooter to bribe the audience into giving her a raucous reception. She also has him send her numerous flower arrangements and draft heaps of fan letters, all in hopes of capturing Kermit's attention. To create a ruse, Piggy and Scooter stage a conversation for Kermit’s eavesdropping, pretending she has received a tempting offer from another show, but Kermit sees through the act. After learning the truth from Scooter, he confronts Piggy, claiming he’s aware of her supposed offer and is willing to let her leave. In tears, she pleads to stay, prompting Kermit to reconsider, but with a pay cut. Feeling downcast, Miss Piggy finds a spark of joy when she meets Dom DeLuise.
