Judge Burton is determined to exact "Justice" on the Hangman, the man who executed his son, the Judge who condemned him, and Lucas, who apprehended him. Upon learning that Lucas has a son, Judge Burton believes that true justice demands an equal exchange: a son for a son. He ties Lucas to a wagon and sets out to hang Mark, convinced that Lucas must endure the same torment he experienced while waiting for his own son’s execution.
