Rumson discreetly left the bill of sale at the bank, moving away from North Fork without revealing to anyone who purchased his property. Curge, whose highest bid had only been increased by $1,000, is frustrated to learn that Rumson sold to a "peppergut." The new owners, the Argentez family, hail from Argentina. Lucas sets up a meeting for Mark with Manolo, who teaches him how to use the Bolas. Manolo, protective of his sister, resents any man who shows interest in her, believing she deserves a true "Caballero." When her latest admirer, Ned Dunnell, turns up dead, the locals quickly suspect Manolo.
