The Tudors (2007)
S2E6 The Definition of Love
As the Reformation intensifies, Sir Thomas Cromwell rises in influence as the chief architect of a new moral framework. The once unwavering confidence of the monarchy is now tinged with uncertainty. King Henry is plagued by memories of the executed Thomas More, while Queen Anne Boleyn's insecurities spiral into paranoia. Meanwhile, Henry's infidelities persist, and a failed attempt to arrange a marriage for their daughter, Elizabeth, with a French royal falls apart when the French King refuses to acknowledge the legitimacy of the young princess.
