In exile in France, Warwick schemes to seize the throne. He cleverly arranges a surprising alliance through his youngest daughter, Anne, which grants him access to a formidable army. Upon Warwick's arrival in England, King Edward faces a critical choice: to stand and battle or to flee. Meanwhile, a frightened Elizabeth seeks refuge in a sanctuary, uncertain of her husband's fate. As she gives birth to the son she has longed for, she grapples with the dread of her own safety as Warwick makes his way into London.
