S1E12 Straightforward Feelings

As their final summer of middle school came to a close, the island's children were tasked with writing an essay called "The Last Summer Vacation." Upon returning from Akurekijima, Tonbo poured her heart into her essay, sharing her affection for the island and her newfound ambitions. The islanders were taken aback by her sentiments, and Igaiga did his best to encourage her. By spring, during the graduation ceremony, Tonbo had noticeably matured; she had grown taller, and her hair now gracefully touched her shoulders.
