While Makoto is unconscious, he unwittingly forms a contract with the Black Spider of Disaster. When he eventually awakens, he finds himself puzzled but decides to name both Shin and the Black Spider. Meanwhile, a diverse group of demihumans, including elder dwarves, starts to inhabit the demiplane. Feeling out of place among them, Makoto longs for human company and ventures into a nearby human town. To his surprise, he encounters a group of armed humans ready for confrontation. What could be the reason behind their hostile reception?
