While Emma and Gary are in their car out in the outback, the wolf refrains from attacking them and fails to identify them during its chaotic rampage through their home. Later, when Gary encounters a seemingly ordinary woman, who happens to be the mother of Emma’s new best friend, Mary provides him with a convenient escape from his current situation.
