Noticing that Kyoto Fushimi is pulling ahead, Aoyagi passes a note from God to Kaburagi to help them break free from the pack. The note features the lyrics to the anime song "Love Hime Pancake!" which his senior Tadokoro claims inspired him during the Inter-high. Energized, they start singing and quickly pick up speed. Meanwhile, Hakone Academy closes in on Teshima and Sakamichi, with first-year climber Shinkai Yuto grinning ominously. After overtaking Teshima, Yuto challenges Sakamichi, who, wanting to safeguard Imaizumi and Naruko, bravely accepts the duel!
