Plot

A weary hobo, portrayed by Barnard Hughes, embarks on a journey back to his roots during the Christmas season. Arriving in Salt Lake City, he seeks to mend fences with his estranged son, played by Gerald McRaney, and finally meet the grandchildren he has never known. However, McRaney harbors deep resentment over his father's abandonment 25 years ago, granting him only a single day with the kids before expecting him to disappear from their lives once more. Despite warnings from friends to leave the past buried, Hughes is determined to confront his family and find closure.
