Caroline Upton, a retired military officer turned Military History professor, partners with antiques shop owner Russell Carlisle to track down the family of WWII soldier Orin Newton before Christmas. Their mission is to return Orin's cherished belongings, including his dress uniform, medals, and heartfelt letters to his love, Alice. Initial clues from his insignia lead to a troubling discovery—Orin was captured and marked as MIA. As they delve into the romantic letters, Caroline and Russell seek to uncover the truth about Orin's fate and whether he ever reunited with Alice.
