Plot
Genzo, a dedicated monk, embarks on a journey to Tianzhu, the ancient East Asian name for India. During his travels, he encounters an elderly couple who request his help with their adopted son, Taro Yamada, portrayed by Kenichi Matsuyama. Taro’s mischievous use of magic has caused significant trouble, prompting the couple to seek Genzo's guidance. Accepting the challenge, Genzo takes Taro under his wing and continues his pilgrimage to Tianzhu, hoping to rehabilitate the young man along the way while navigating the complexities of magic and mentorship.
