Plot

Eddie is a devoted New York Knicks fan who works as a limo driver in New York City. With the team performing poorly, new owner "Wild Bill" Burgess initiates a publicity stunt by hosting a contest for an 'honorary coach', which Eddie triumphantly wins. The fans embrace him, leading "Wild Bill" to dismiss the current coach and appoint Eddie as the new head coach. Faced with a roster of overpaid and egotistical players, Eddie must navigate the challenges of coaching while trying to turn the team’s fortunes around.
