Plot

Set in 1950s Stockholm, Erik finds himself expelled from his school due to his frequent fights. To shield him from the wrath of his abusive stepfather, his mother decides to send him to Stjärnsberg Boarding School, the only institution that will take him in. This opportunity is Erik's final chance to progress to Upper School, and he vows to his mother that he will do everything possible to avoid trouble and succeed during his time there, for both their sakes.
