Plot
From the creators of Airplane! and The Naked Gun comes a comedic parody of Top Gun featuring Charlie Sheen as Topper Harley, a fighter pilot on a mission to restore his family's honor. Along the way, he develops a quirky romance with Valeria Golino, whose unique stomach talents add to the absurdity. Lloyd Bridges shines in his later years as a hilariously inept commander, stumbling through chaos. Directed by Jim Abrahams, the film cleverly mocks a range of other titles, including Dances with Wolves and The Fabulous Baker Boys, leading to the successful sequel, Hot Shots! Part Deux.
