Plot

During a state visit to Istanbul, the King of Belgium faces an unexpected crisis as his country descends into chaos. With communications severed and air travel grounded due to a solar storm, he must find an alternative way back home. Teaming up with a British filmmaker and a group of Bulgarian folk singers, the King embarks on a clandestine journey across the Balkans. As they navigate various challenges, he not only strives to save his kingdom but also uncovers profound truths about himself and the world beyond royal confines.
