Plot

In the film "Mighty Joe Young" (1998), Jill Young, haunted by her childhood trauma of witnessing her mother's murder at the hands of poachers led by Andrei Strasser, dedicates her life to protecting wildlife. Now an adult, she cares for Joe, a massive orphaned gorilla standing at 15 feet tall due to a unique genetic condition. When California wildlife expert Gregg O'Hara visits and suggests that Joe would thrive at his refuge, Jill agrees. However, Strasser tracks them to America, determined to seize Joe for his own nefarious plans.
