Plot
Roy Allen, a trumpet player looking for a fresh start, takes a position as a music teacher in a school where students have minimal musical experience. He forges a bond with a gifted young musician who craves paternal guidance. As they embark on the adventure of forming a school band, Roy discovers innovative ways to engage his students. Along the way, he also mends his relationship with his estranged son, embracing the fatherly role he yearns for and ultimately transforming both their lives through music.
