In "The Borrowers," the tiny Clock family lives covertly within the home of the larger Lender family, discreetly "borrowing" everyday items like thread and food scraps to survive. Their harmonious arrangement is threatened when the conniving lawyer Ocious P. Potter seizes the will that secures the house, intending to raze it for new apartments. As the Lenders are compelled to relocate, the Clocks grapple with the looming danger of being discovered by the outside world, jeopardizing their existence and way of life.
