Plot

Popeye and Olive find themselves in the quirky city of Badgag, where they encounter Bluto, who dazzles them with magic tricks under the guise of the Great Bourgeois. Hypnotizing Olive, Bluto dresses her in a lavish gown and transforms Popeye into a donkey. The ensuing chaos includes Popeye bouncing on a bed of nails and engaging in a snake-charming duel. After Bluto traps Olive in a basket, she frees herself and revives Popeye with spinach. In a final showdown, Popeye cleverly uses Bluto’s tricks against him, turning the villain into a canary, before flying home with Olive past the Statue of Liberty.
