Plot

In "The Great Outdoors," Chet Ripley, an enthusiastic Chicagoan, embarks on a family vacation to a peaceful lakeside cabin in Wisconsin with his wife, Connie, and their two children, Buck and Ben. However, their tranquil getaway is disrupted by the arrival of Connie's insufferable brother-in-law, Roman Craig, along with his wife Kate and their two daughters. As the weekend unfolds, tensions rise between the laid-back Ripleys and the uptight Craigs, leading to a series of comedic and chaotic encounters that test familial bonds.
