Plot

Jack Hopkins, an aircraft designer with a deep love for traction engines, faces challenges when his boss pushes to sell his latest supersonic jet to American tycoon Paul Fisher. Their initial meeting is fraught with tension, especially after Fisher's daughter, Kathy, inadvertently damages Jack's beloved engine, "The Iron Maiden." Determined to showcase his creation at the Woburn Abbey steam rally, Jack's plans hit a snag when his fireman gets injured. Just when hope seems lost, Fisher steps in to help, and the two men forge an unexpected friendship as they work together to drive the engine.
