Plot

Lt. John Harkness steps into the role of captain for the U.S.S. Teakettle, a submarine chaser powered by an innovative steam engine. Eager to lead, he anticipates the support of a seasoned crew to navigate their mission. However, Harkness quickly discovers that both the officers and crew are either inexperienced like himself or only familiar with traditional diesel engines. Faced with this challenge, he must rally his team to overcome their shortcomings and make the most of their unique vessel.
