Elfen Lied (2004)
Diclonius are mutated humans, marked by horns and telekinetic powers, believed to be chosen by a higher power for humanity's downfall. Captured by the government, they are subjected to experimentation in a lab. Lucy, a young and unstable Diclonius, escapes after a deadly rampage, only to be shot in the head during her flight. Miraculously surviving, she washes ashore, where teenagers Kouta and Yuka find her. Stripped of her memories, she adopts the name "Nyuu," but the dark persona of Lucy lurks ominously, hinting that her violent past is far from over.
