Hippies (1999)
Set in the vibrant backdrop of London in 1969, Ray Purbbs runs a counterculture magazine called Mouth from his Notting Hill Gate flat. Alongside his fellow hippies—laid-back Alex, free-spirited Jill, and enigmatic Hugo—Ray is fervently engaged in the era's protests and trends, convinced he's making a mark on society. While Alex prefers golf to activism and Jill's ideals of free love clash with her disinterest in Ray, the group flounders in their attempts to make an impact. Their ineptitude extends even to their hippie lifestyle, leading to hilariously failed endeavors in a changing world.
